ADCDA participated in the "UAE Hujjaj Forum" to raise awareness among pilgrims traveling to perform the Hajj this year and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle various risks, especially in seasonal and crowded environments such as the Hajj season.
During the forum, the Authority presented a series of awareness lectures and practical workshops that focused on the most common potential hazards, such as fires in enclosed spaces and tents, as well as injuries caused by stampedes or heat exhaustion. Practical guidelines were also provided on how to prevent these risks and how to respond properly if they occur.
Participants were introduced to the correct use of handheld fire extinguishers and safe evacuation methods in emergency situations. Simplified first aid training was also provided, covering how to deal with cases of fainting, heatstroke, and burns, all under the supervision of specialized teams from the Authority.
Several participants also took the initiative to register for the volunteer program in support of Civil Defence activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, reflecting the growing community awareness of supporting civil protection efforts.
The Authority affirmed that its participation in the forum is part of its commitment to its community role and its dedication to providing pilgrims with awareness and knowledge. It also urged all pilgrims to adhere to safety guidelines and the instructions issued by the competent official authorities.
