ADCDA Participates in Fire Safety Asia Conference in Singapore

Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority (ADCDA) participated in the 4^th edition of the Fire Safety Asia Conference & Exhibition held in Singapore. The event is jointly organized by the National Fire and Emergency Preparedness Counciland theSingapore Civil Defence Force.

Colonel Dr. Engineer Faisal Hassan Al-Qahtani, Director of the Civil Protection Department, confirmed the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority's interest in utilizing all capabilities and modern technologies to meet the requirements of protecting lives and property in accordance with the highest international standards.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Eng. Salem Hashem Al-Habashi, Director of the Public Safety Department, the delegation was informed on the most advanced practices in the Singapore Civil Defense Force, the Singapore Civil Defense Academy, and Punggol Singapore's first smart fire station. The delegation also paid visits to other Singapore Civil Defense key partners.

He went on to say that the delegation explored methods to improve collaboration and joint coordination with the Singapore Civil Defense Force. Experiences were shared in order to contribute to enhancing preparedness by increasing staff capacities, improving reaction speed and effectiveness in the face of field challenges, and activating the role of community awareness in decreasing accident rates.

Lieutenant Colonel Engineer Mohamed Salem Al Ameri, Head of the Cooperation and Partnerships Department, spoke about the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority's current approach to building bridges of cooperation with international counterparts, with the goal of making the Emirate of Abu Dhabi one of the best cities in the world for providing civil defense services.
